Poker Run & BBQ
Date: Saturday, August 11th
Time: 2 pm to 4pm for the Poker Run
and 4pm to 6:30pm for the BBQ.
Start Location: Meet at Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney at 1:30pm
Cars leave at 2pm
Cost: $10 per Poker Hand
Winning hand will take home a guaranteed minimum of $250!!
There will be a BBQ at the final stop. Food by Donation
A Hagerty Insurance rep will be on hand to help us out and answer any of your Collector Car Insurance questions.
We will also have a LIVE BAND!!
You dont have to do the Poker Run to be able to join us at the BBQ
Meet us at 4:30pm at Five Peaks Storage, 1835 John Rd. North Saanich.
There will be a cruise after the event to the Canadian Tire Cruise Night at the Broadmead Canadian Tire for 6:30pm for anyone interested in carrying on.
2018 Auto Extravaganza Car Show
Date: Sunday, August 12th
Time: Gates open at 8am, (Earlier if needed)
Start Location: Get your registration package at Mary Winspear Centre, in Sidney, you will be parked in the show from there.
Pre-Registered vehicles will need to check in at Mary Winspear Centre as well!
Cost: $25 on Show Day
Special attractions we will have at the show:

- The Lions Club Pancake Breakfast,
- Manufacturers Midway featuring selected Vendors & Specialty shops,

/This last Thursday evening at the Dub in Ladysmith, this couple pulled in for gas. One sweet Chevy truck. Turns out they were on a cross country trip from Halifax. The hood of the truck was in bare metal and they were using a sharpie to document their trip. Getting signatures from people they met as they traveled. Thought it was kind of cool and worth mentioning in the blog..

/Dan and I do what we do because of our love of cars. Combining our passion and skills to make this web site is just another way for us to be involved in the Hot Rod culture we love. Knowing that so many have come to use and like this site is a bonus. The support is sometimes overwhelming. From the financial support, to all the positive comments that people make to express how much they like our site. It is all very much appreciated.
This last Sunday we spent the day at the Redliners / Original Joe's Show N Shine. It was a great day, even if the sun was a little on the hot side. Lot's of people love these shows, and the efforts of the people that put in the time to make them happen is greatly appreciated. If they didn't, we would have no where to go on the week ends. So hat's off to Wayne, Jack, Paul and the rest of the Redliners.
At the end of the day, Dan and I were a acknowledged with a couple of plaques to show appreciation for what we do. We can't say thank you enough for this recognition. We loved them. Loving what you do is reward enough, but having some recognition that others love it too is even sweeter. Thanks a bunch to the Redliners, Original Joe's and everyone else who frequents our site!

For Sale: “Afterburner” is a multiple award winning one of a kind high-end show car built over three years and completed in the fall of 2017. Licensed for the street, high performance (about 450HP in an approximate 2500-pound car) and it has a 50-state emissions legal LS3 E-Rod engine. This street rod is built on a Factory Five Racing tubular chassis (4-link rear and transverse inboard front suspension). QA1 coil over shocks, wildwood brakes and Foose forged billet aluminum wheels. Power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, cruise control, an audiovisual system with back up camera. Too many high end parts and custom features too numerous to mention here.
