Easter Seals Shawnigan Lake Camp - Car Event

image.jpeg

I would like to extend an invitation to you and your fellow car enthusiasts to attend our car event.

It is on September 14th, 2019 from 4-7 pm.  It is held at the Easter Seals Shawnigan Lake Camp at 2180 Shawnigan Lake road.  We are raising money for the camp.  We are catering the event and have a silent auction.

Please consider attending and extend the invitation to anyone who would enjoy such an opportunity

It is a casual event with invitations to all makes and models.  We are just looking to have a fun car gathering and raise money for the disabled children and their families.  The camp is currently closed due to lack of funds, we helped them raise over $12,000 the past few years so they were able to open for the weekends in August this year.

We hope to see you and your friends there.

If you have any questions Pleas contact tattney@vcmauto.com

Thank you

Maximum Nova/ Acadian Annual Cruise

Yesterday was an incredible day! I want to extend a sincere thank you to Carl Jamieson, Ray Friesen and the rest of the gang who organized the Maximum Nova/ Acadian Annual Cruise on the mainland starting at Trev Deeley Motorcycles on Boundary Rd in Vancouver. It was the experience of a lifetime and the day was filled with so many highlights - beautiful cars, wonderful people, and the stops along the way, especially Mission Raceway! This was a first-class event and the hospitality was unparalleled! I also want to thank Jim Sayenchuk for joining me on this trek and my sweetheart Laura for encouraging me to do something just for fun. I don't think I have stopped smiling. Thanks again to everyone for an amazing day I will never forget! Look for their facebook page .

Van Isle Dragways pics by Chris Cooper

We are excited to add a new album to our Vancouver Island Hot Rods Nostalgia section. We are very pleased to be adding new photos from Van Isle Dragways courtesy of Chris Cooper who use to own and race the “Sinister Purpose” at Van Isle Dragways. We would like to give a big “Thank you” to Chris for allowing us access to his personal albums and allowing us to share them. There is some great Vancouver Island drag racing history here!

Deuce Days

https://www.northwestdeuceday.com

Since 2000, Northwest Deuce Day has been growing in popularity.

The first event was held in Victoria's Oak Bay Village. In 2002, the event was moved to Chilliwack and grew in size with over 80 1932
Fords in attendance.

In 2004, it moved back to Victoria's and its inner harbour and featured 127 1932 Fords.

Then, in 2007, again at Victoria's inner harbour, the big show to commemorate the 75th. anniversary of The Deuce. This show would feature over 400 1932 Fords of the 761 registered. WOW!

2010
In 2010, the event was, once again at the Inner Harbour and we had
another terrific turnout. Because of the popularity of the event, it became a three-day event and the name was changed to Northwest Deuce Days (from Day).

2013
2013 was previously the biggest event.

2016
2016 was a complete sell out and was, by all accounts, the best
event-to-date.

2019
You'll have to be there to find out!
