Cross Country Truck

This last Thursday evening at the Dub in Ladysmith, this couple pulled in for gas. One sweet Chevy truck. Turns out they were on a cross country trip from Halifax. The hood of the truck was in bare metal and they were using a sharpie to document their trip. Getting signatures from people they met as they traveled. Thought it was kind of cool and worth mentioning in the blog..

Thank You to the Redliners

Dan and I do what we do because of our love of cars. Combining our passion and skills to make this web site is just another way for us to be involved in the Hot Rod culture we love. Knowing that so many have come to use and like this site is a bonus. The support is sometimes overwhelming. From the financial support, to all the positive comments that people make to express how much they like our site. It is all very much appreciated.

This last Sunday we spent the day at the Redliners / Original Joe's Show N Shine. It was a great day, even if the sun was a little on the hot side. Lot's of people love these shows, and the efforts of the people that put in the time to make them happen is greatly appreciated. If they didn't, we would have no where to go on the week ends. So hat's off to Wayne, Jack, Paul and the rest of the Redliners.

At the end of the day, Dan and I were a acknowledged with a couple of plaques to show appreciation for what we do. We can't say thank you enough for this recognition. We loved them. Loving what you do is reward enough, but having some recognition that others love it too is even sweeter. Thanks a bunch to the Redliners, Original Joe's and everyone else who  frequents our site!

2018 Vancouver Island Motor Gathering

My name is Emily Clare, and I am writing to you today to let you know about our annual Charity Car Show, Vancouver Island Motor Gathering on August 26th, 2018. This is our 7th annual event and every year we aim to raise more money for causes that directly impact members of the Cowichan Valley community, please visit this link to our website for more information!

Last year, we had over 12,000 spectators, just under 600 registered vehicles, and we raised over $173,000 for the David Foster Foundation and the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation. By supporting the David Foster Foundation, we have been able to help families with non-medical expenses while receiving life-saving care - here is a link to their website to learn more about this incredible foundation. Our support of the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation is helping the community raise funds for a much-needed upgrade to the hospital - here is a link to their website to learn more about this!

We're hoping to feature even more amazing vehicles at our show this year and would love to have your support! Each year, we have judged and non-judged categories with some reputable judges on the island! We'd love to have you at our event

We hope to see you there! Thank you for your consideration!
