Kurt Neilson
I was very saddened to hear that we have lost another valuable member of the local classic car community. Kurt Neilson passed away last night. It took me a while to get to know Kurt but once I broke through the gruff exterior, I learned that he was a great guy with a heart of gold and was very generous. He recently bought me a t-shirt at the Chemainus Car show. It was always fun waiting to see what car Kurt was going to bring to our Sears meets. I chatted with Kurt a couple of weeks ago while he was in the hospital and can’t believe that he is gone. I extend my sincerest condolences to Kurt’s wife Terrie and all of his family and friends. RIP Kurt. You will be missed.
Performance Products
I had my night made tonight! -huge!! I saw Performance Products(Courtenay) owner Bill Leong at the Crown Isle show in Comox on Saturday and told him how all us guys had his decals on our cars back in the 1970's in Campbell River. Anyways today at work Bill e-mailed me through our website and asked if I was going to be at the Sears Meet tonight. I of course said I was. Anyways he said I will see you there. When I hooked up with him he handed me a sealed box which I didn't open up until later. In it was an awesome t-shirt(decal on front and huge one on the back) and two decals!. What a "Blast from the Past" - Bill and his wife drove all the way down from Courtenay just to deliver this to me! I thank Bill for his kind generosity and for thinking of me.
Ocean Idlers Appreciation
I want to extend my sincere appreciation to the Ocean Idlers Car Club for making me an honourary member of their club at today's show and shine. At first I was surprised when I heard my name over the PA system and then to find out this was the reason why was very humbling. I always say that I am simply living my passion and love sharing it with others. To be recognized in this way is truly flattering. The Blast From The Past show & shine has always been a favorite and now it will forever hold a special place in my heart. ❤
Alex Plonka Passing
Very saddened to hear that Alex Plonka has passed away. Alex was a past President of the Seaside Cruisers and always treated me 1st class with my involvement in the Seaside Cruisers and shooting photos. He came to visit me a few times at my house as well! RIP Alex - you will be missed.

1964 Impala SS at 2 Old Farts Garage
Jim & Dave just wrapped up this beautiful Impala SS. It received new running gear, 415hp 383 stroker with FITech fuel injection, new rad, new Borgeson power steering, tci 700r trany, new shift works shifter etc.
