Dan has always been a Classic Car enthusiast. Especially Chevy Nova’s and Pontiac Acadian’s have always held a special place in his heart. He hasn’t owned one since the early 80’s, until now. For many years there were lots of conversations amongst the classic car community that Dan needs a Nova or Acadian. In the summer of 2025 a few guys decided to take it to the next step. They canvassed at car events to see if there might be support for their idea, and no surprise, there was overwhelming support. So they put their plan into action, and started looking for a car. They ended up buying a 1971 Acadian. It was in decent shape, but still required a lot of work. Over the winter the car was made right, and fundraising done. The most amazing thing? Even though so many people were involved, it was the best kept secret on Vancouver Island. The car was revealed and presented to Dan at a car meet in Nanaimo on May 6, 2026.
